A formal welcoming ceremony took place in Akorda, where President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev greeted his Armenian counterpart.
During the ceremony, the two leaders introduced members of their official delegations to one another. The Chief of the Honor Guard Company presented a welcoming report, followed by the playing of the national anthems of both countries.
Following the ceremony, Presidents Tokayev and Khachaturyan proceeded to the negotiation hall for discussions.
