Turkmenistan and South Korea to Collaborate on Production of Disposable Medical Products

Turkmenistan is set to collaborate with South Korea’s Korea Meditech to establish the production of disposable medical products using local raw materials.

This initiative was revealed during a healthcare exhibition in Ashgabat.

Korea Meditech plans to produce medical syringes from polypropylene as part of this partnership, aligning with Turkmenistan’s strategy to boost economic independence and sustainability within its healthcare sector. Turkmen specialists have already produced test samples of syringes, confirming the high quality of local raw materials and paving the way for large-scale production.

With 60-70 percent of materials for the production sourced domestically, this collaboration is expected to reduce reliance on imports and enhance Turkmenistan’s self-sufficiency in medical manufacturing.
