President Tokayev Meets with Heads of Security Agencies and Special Services of CIS Countries

President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev welcomed participants of the 55th meeting of the Council of Heads of Security Agencies and Special Services of CIS member states in Astana.

During the meeting, Tokayev highlighted the importance of the Council as a platform for coordinating security efforts, noting that its role has become even more critical in today’s global environment. He emphasized that the timely exchange of operational and analytical information enhances the effectiveness of addressing regional security challenges and threats, while also promoting joint approaches to safeguarding national interests.

The President expressed confidence that the meeting’s outcomes would strengthen cooperation between the special services of CIS countries, contributing to improved coordination in ensuring international security.

Delegations from Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, along with representatives from the CIS Executive Committee and the Anti-Terrorism Center, attended the event.
