Chief Mufti of Tajikistan Attacked in Dushanbe
In Dushanbe, an assailant attacked Saidmukarram Abdulkodirzoda, Chairman of the Council of Ulema of Tajikistan, with a knife. The attacker has been apprehended, according to the press center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tajikistan.
The incident occurred near the central mosque of Dushanbe after prayer. The assailant struck Abdulkodirzoda, who was promptly transported to a medical facility for treatment. He has been diagnosed with a minor injury.
Law enforcement officials have confirmed the attacker’s detention and stated that Abdulkodirzoda’s condition is stable.
