Kazakh athletes achieved notable success at the Games held in the French capital. The country’s sole gold medal was claimed by judoka Yeldos Smetov, who triumphed in the 60 kg weight category.
Kazakhstan also celebrated three silver medals. Gymnast Nariman Kurbanov, Greco-Roman wrestler Demeu Zhadrayev (77 kg), and boxer Nurbek Oralbay (80 kg) each finished in second place.
The bronze medals were earned by boxer Nazim Kyzaybay (50 kg), the shooting duo Alexandra Le and Islam Satpaeva in the mixed team competition, and judoka Gusman Kyrgyzbayev.
