Elena Rybakina Explains Absence from Paris Olympic Games
Kazakh tennis player Elena Rybakina has reached out to her fans in Kazakhstan to explain her absence from the Olympic Games in Paris.
“Dear fans of Kazakhstan, I want to personally share my feelings with you,” Rybakina stated. “I am very sad and deeply regret that I could not compete for our team at the Olympic Games. I prepared hard with the team, but, unfortunately, I suddenly fell ill before the start of the competition. I had a high temperature and breathing problems, and doctors strictly forbade me to go on the court,” she explained.
Rybakina expressed her disappointment at being unable to represent her country after dedicating significant time and effort to prepare for the Games. Her health issues, which included a high fever and breathing difficulties, prevented her from participating, as advised by her medical team.
