The project was realized by the Sustainable Rural Development Fund with the support of the Samruk-Kazyna Trust charity foundation as part of the “Sports Ground for Border Rural Areas” initiative, TuraNews.kz reports.
The sports ground was officially presented today in the village of Katon-Karagay. The event was attended by several notable figures, including Majilis Deputy Erlan Sairov, President of the Football Federation of Kazakhstan Adilet Barmenkulov, General Manager of the Samruk-Kazyna Trust Foundation Alua Erlan, and representatives from the regional sports department.
Residents of the Katon-Karagay district now have access to a new sports complex covering 1,600 square meters. This facility includes:
- A 40×20 meter football pitch with artificial turf
- A 24×16 meter basketball and volleyball court with a tartan surface
- A 16×16 meter workout area
The sports ground is equipped with the latest technology, ensuring it is well-fenced and landscaped to provide a safe and comfortable environment for sports activities.
The primary aim of the project is to highlight the importance of physical education and sports within the community. By creating such facilities, the initiative encourages more people to engage in sports activities and promotes physical development.
The new sports ground is expected to become a hub for both young people and adults, fostering regular sports participation and encouraging a healthy lifestyle.
