Turkish Company Plans to Build 5,000-Ton Vegetable Storage Facility in Kazakhstan
A Turkish company, Saraylim Tarim, is planning to construct a large vegetable storage facility in Kazakhstan, with a capacity of 5,000 tons. The announcement was made during a meeting between Ermek Kenzhekhanuly, Vice Minister of Agriculture of Kazakhstan, and Mustafa Ilıca, Chairman of the Board of Saraylim Tarim.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture, the meeting focused on exploring potential collaboration in investment projects.
Saraylim Tarim is a leading company in Türkiye’s fruit and vegetable storage industry, boasting a warehouse storage capacity of 14,000 tons of fruit annually and a processing capacity of 35,000 tons. The company exports its products to 18 countries and is keen on expanding its operations by establishing a new facility in Kazakhstan, with an estimated project cost of $15 million.
In addition to the storage facility, Saraylim Tarim plans to start producing vinegar and canned vegetables in Kazakhstan. The total investment for this project is also projected to be $15 million. The new facility will be located in the Almaty region, and a Kazakh partner has already been chosen to collaborate on the project, according to Ilıca Mustafa.
Vice Minister Kenzhekhanuly highlighted the support available to investors in Kazakhstan, including subsidies, benefits, and various incentives. He assured that the Ministry of Agriculture is prepared to offer substantial assistance to facilitate the project’s successful implementation.
“The Ministry of Agriculture is ready to provide maximum assistance in the implementation of the project,” emphasized Ermek Kenzhekhanuly.
