President Tokayev Visits Azerbaijan for Turkic States Summit

President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has arrived in Azerbaijan for a working visit to attend the informal summit of the Organization of Turkic States.

Upon arrival at Fizuli Airport, he was welcomed by Yagub Abdullah oglu Eyubov, the First Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan.

The summit will take place in Shusha, where several important documents are expected to be signed.

The Organization of Turkic States aims to promote peace and stability, enhance cooperation, and build stronger relationships among member countries. It also serves as a bridge to deepen international cooperation in the region, leveraging the rich history of Turkic-speaking nations.

The organization includes five member states: Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Türkiye, and Uzbekistan, along with two observer states, Hungary and Turkmenistan. Its official languages are Azerbaijani, Kazakh, Kyrgyz, Turkish, Uzbek, and English.
