Antonio Guterres was welcomed at the Issyk-Kul International Airport by Edil Baisalov, the Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan.
During his visit, Guterres is scheduled to hold bilateral talks with President Sadyr Japarov and Foreign Minister Jeenbek Kulubaev. He will also visit one of the UNDP projects in the country.
The discussions will focus on the current state and future prospects of cooperation within the UN framework, as well as exchanging views on pressing issues on the international agenda.
