Environmental activists gathered 30,000 tons of waste

The nationwide environmental campaign declared on October 5 in Kazakhstan concluded on Sunday, the press service of the Kazakh Ecology, Geology and Natural Resources Ministry reports.

The eco-action was carried out with the aim of uniting all those who oppose the thoughtless consumerist attitude to the nature.

A list of the most polluted places requiring cleaning from garbage was determined and with the help of local executive bodies, the schedule for the action was worked out.

The first stage started on October 8 of this year across the all country and it ended on October 29th.

Environmental activists, volunteers, representatives of enterprises, government agencies and the public took part in the action which means there were more than 847 thousand people.
