Weather Forecast for Kazakhstan on April 16: Continued Rainy and Foggy Conditions

Kazhydromet, the national meteorological service of Kazakhstan, has issued the weather forecast for Tuesday, April 16, providing insights into the expected weather conditions across the country.

In the mountainous areas of the southeast and south, heavy precipitation, predominantly rain, is expected.

Throughout Kazakhstan, thunderstorms, fog, and increased wind speeds are anticipated, with a squall forecasted in the southern part of the country.

Here’s the weather outlook for major cities:

Astana: Partly cloudy skies are expected with no precipitation. Southeasterly winds will transition to southwest direction at night, ranging between speeds of 3-8 m/s overnight and 9-14 m/s during the daytime. Temperatures will range from 0-2°C at night to 14-16°C during the day.

Almaty: Cloudy skies are forecasted with rain, particularly heavy rain overnight and in the morning, accompanied by thunderstorms. Westerly winds will blow at speeds of 3-8 m/s, with gusts reaching 15-20 m/s during thunderstorms. Nighttime temperatures will be around 10-12°C, while daytime temperatures will range from 12-14°C.

Shymkent: Partly cloudy conditions are expected with occasional rain, heavy rainfall overnight, thunderstorms, and a squall. Southwesterly winds will prevail at speeds of 8-13 m/s, with gusts up to 15-20 m/s during thunderstorms. Nighttime temperatures will be approximately 8-10°C, with daytime temperatures ranging from 18-20°C.
