17 Foreigners Apprehended for Illegal Border Crossing Between Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan
The National Security Committee has taken action against individuals attempting to unlawfully cross the Kazakh-Kyrgyz border.
During the period from March 28 to April 10, military personnel from the border service department of the National Security Service in the Zhambyl region apprehended 17 foreign nationals. These individuals were intercepted while attempting to bypass designated checkpoints and illegally cross the state border.
Subsequently, the individuals’ right to cross the border was restricted pending further investigation.
Currently, a pre-trial investigation is underway to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the incident.
It is important to note that under Kazakh law, any violation of the state border and its regulations carries both criminal and administrative consequences.
