President Tokayev Chairs Republican Headquarters Meeting on Flood Relief Efforts
President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev presided over a meeting of the Republican Headquarters aimed at coordinating flood control measures and addressing the aftermath of the flood period, as reported by the Akorda press service.
During the meeting, President Tokayev emphasized the importance of providing essential assistance to affected citizens. He urged the utilization of government reserves, local administrations’ resources, and the Kazakhstan Khalkyna fund to ensure comprehensive support. Additionally, the President called upon domestic businesses to extend assistance and support to those in need, emphasizing the collective responsibility in addressing the disaster’s impact.
Acknowledging the significant presence of large enterprises in the western regions affected by severe flooding, President Tokayev expressed confidence in their active involvement in providing aid and contributing to the restoration of damaged infrastructure.
