The Central Internal Affairs Directorate disclosed that they received information indicating the suspect’s possession of an unspecified brand of firearm. Consequently, the Investigative Service of the Internal Affairs Directorate of the Pervomaisky District initiated a criminal case under Article 267 (illegal trafficking in weapons, ammunition) of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic.
Identified as S.D., born in 1976 and known by the alias Danila, the suspect was registered with the Ministry of Internal Affairs as an active member of the organized crime group led by Kamchy Kolbaev. Following identification, he was promptly detained and transferred to the investigative service, where, in accordance with Article 96 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, he was placed in a temporary detention facility.
Police investigations revealed S.D.’s history of multiple convictions for offenses including kidnapping and robbery. He previously served as a driver and bodyguard, holding a close and loyal position within Asanbek Kamchy’s inner circle. Despite law enforcement efforts against organized crime, S.D. persisted in supporting criminal ideology, providing financial aid and sustenance to incarcerated individuals.
During search operations conducted as part of the ongoing criminal case, law enforcement seized a 9-mm Makarov firearm with defaced serial numbers, along with one magazine and eight rounds of ammunition from the suspect.
It’s worth noting that the notorious “thief in law” Kamchy Asanbek, also known as Kamchybek Kolbaev, met his demise during his apprehension in Bishkek
