Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan Presidents Review Fizuli Development Plan

The second day of Kassym-Jomart Tokayev's state visit to the Republic of Azerbaijan kicked off with a joint inspection alongside Ilham Aliyev, focusing on the reconstruction efforts in Fizuli and an overview of the city's development master plan.

During the visit, both leaders were briefed on the ongoing restoration efforts in the city and its vicinity. They were presented with proposals for the city’s future administrative center, parks, and other vital infrastructure projects.

Officials highlighted the extensive construction and rehabilitation initiatives currently underway. Notably, since May 2023, significant progress has been made in laying the groundwork for intra-city roads, water supply, sewage, and stormwater management systems. Additionally, the inauguration of the Fuzuli digital substation and control center marked a significant milestone.

Simultaneously, efforts to construct administrative buildings, communal facilities, and residential complexes are underway, with 38 multi-story buildings currently in progress in Fuzuli.
