Data from the National Bureau of Statistics reveals that the majority of apartment sales in high-rise buildings are concentrated in Almaty (24.3%), Astana (23.5%), and the Karaganda region (7.9%).
Compared to January 2024, there was a decrease of 4.4% (1,128 transactions) in the number of transactions involving multi-residential buildings.
In total, there were 24,517 residential real estate transactions in February 2024, representing 80.3% of the total.
Transactions involving residential properties in private homes remained stable, experiencing a slight decrease of 0.8%, or 51 transactions, since January 2024.
In February, there were 6,017 transactions across the country, with decreases observed in all regions.
The most significant increases in transactions were seen in Astana (+65.7%), Almaty (+14.1%), and the East Kazakhstan region (+9.4%).
Conversely, the largest decreases were noted in Abay (-23.7%), North Kazakhstan (-10.8%), and Turkestan (-9.8%) regions.
The total number of residential sales transactions in February 2024 increased by 26.6% compared to the same period last year, when 24,118 transactions were recorded.
Positive trends were observed nationwide, except in the Ulytau and Mangistau regions, which experienced decreases of 18.3% and 8.7%, respectively.
The highest growth rate (75.4%) was recorded in the Pavlodar region.
Overall, the total number of transactions in January-February 2024 compared to the same period in 2023 showed a positive trend of 28.6%.
