Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan Presidents Sign Multiple Cooperation Agreements

After important talks between the presidents of Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan, they signed several agreements and memoranda, showing that both countries are starting a new phase of their relationship together.

Among the notable documents inked during the talks is a Memorandum of Cooperation between the Central Communications Service under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Media Development Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan, as reported by the Central Communications Service under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The agreements signed encompass various sectors, aiming to bolster cooperation and foster mutual development. Some of the key agreements include:

  1. Decision of the first meeting of the Supreme Interstate Council of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Republic of Azerbaijan.
  2. Agreement on the mutual recognition of professional diplomas of crew members of sea vessels between the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of the Azerbaijan Republic.
  3. Protocol on amendments and additions to the Agreement on cooperation in education between the Ministries of Education and Science of both nations.
  4. Memorandum of Understanding between relevant ministries on research and use of outer space for peaceful purposes.
  5. Action plan for cultural and youth cooperation between the respective ministries.
  6. Agreement on strategic partnership between Samruk-Kazyna JSC and Azerbaijan Investment Holding (AIH).
  7. Agreement on transit volume increase of Kazakh oil through Azerbaijan’s territory.
  8. Memorandum of strategic cooperation in the field of oil purchase and sale.
  9. Memorandum of cooperation between the communications agencies of both countries.
  10. Memorandum of cooperation between entrepreneurship development agencies.
  11. Action plan for city-level cooperation between Atyrau and Shirvan.
  12. Action plan for city-level cooperation between Aktau and Sumgait.
  13. Roadmap for supporting small and medium-sized businesses.
  14. Memorandum of understanding in information security.
