PFLK Gets Rebranded: Qazaqstan Football League (QFL) Takes Center Stage
on February 28, 2024, the Professional Football League of Kazakhstan (PFLK) underwent a transformative rebranding, unveiling its new identity as the Qazaqstan Football League (QFL) along with the launch of a new season.
The momentous occasion, hosted at the Presidential Center in the capital city, Astana, was attended by representatives from the football fraternity and media outlets, TuraNews.kz reports with reference to the official QFL website.
The rebranding introduced not only a new league name but also a refreshed logo adorned with modern visual elements infused with traditional symbols of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Notably, the golden eagle, emblematic of independent Kazakhstan, is ingeniously incorporated into the letter ‘Q’, symbolizing the league’s unity and national pride.
Adlet Barmenkulov, President of the Kazakhstan Football Federation, emphasized the league’s commitment to fostering a robust football industry, aiming to attract sponsors and investors while serving as a source of pride on the international stage.
Alongside the brand and logo reveal, several groundbreaking football development projects were unveiled. Among these initiatives are the inaugural League Cup and Women’s League, signaling a significant expansion of football opportunities within the country. The League Cup, boasting a historic $1 million prize pool, will feature 16 Kazakhstani clubs competing for top honors. Furthermore, the Women’s League will witness the participation of six clubs representing five regions of Kazakhstan.
Rafael Gharibyan, President of the Qazaqstan Football League, outlined an ambitious vision to elevate Kazakh football to international standards while preserving its unique identity. He stressed the importance of collaboration with stakeholders, including the state, sponsors, and devoted fans, to achieve collective success.
The event also marked the launch of the QFL’s revamped website and social media platforms, promising enhanced match broadcasts with improved production quality and innovative features. Additionally, a new official QFL ball, developed in partnership with sponsor Wildberries, was unveiled to the audience.
Eduard Sinelnikov, Vice President of the Qazaqstan Football League, underscored the league’s commercial growth prospects, highlighting recent partnerships with sponsors such as OLIMPBET, 1XBET, and Wildberries. Sinelnikov emphasized the QFL’s role as a unifying force for national leagues, consolidating various league products under its banner.
As the Qazaqstan Football League gears up for the new season, set to kick off on March 1, anticipation runs high for a thrilling chapter in Kazakh football history under its refreshed identity.
