Four tourists from the Czech Republic lost their lives in an avalanche incident in the Jyrgalan gorge located in the Issyk-Kul region of Kyrgyzstan.
The avalanche struck on February 25 around 13:00 local time while a group of 23 tourists, comprising citizens from the Czech Republic and Slovakia, were skiing at the Tulpar-Tash jailoo.
Reports indicate that the tourists themselves managed to extract the deceased from the avalanche and subsequently sought assistance for transportation.
Upon receiving the distress call, six rescuers from the Ministry of Emergency Situations promptly responded, reaching the scene to offer aid. They liaised with the group of tourists and transferred the bodies of the deceased to the Ministry of Internal Affairs for further proceedings.
