Turkmenistan and Japan Bolster Inter-Parliamentary Relations
Dunyagozel Gulmanova, Chairman of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, engaged in talks with a Japanese parliamentary delegation led by Shimpei Matsushita, Secretary General of the Japanese-Turkmen Interparliamentary Friendship Group and member of the House of Councilors of Japan.
As per the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, discussions during the meeting in Japan underscored the significance of fortifying inter-parliamentary ties to advance bilateral relations. The Turkmen-Japanese Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group was highlighted as pivotal in this endeavor.
Parliamentarians deliberated on enhancing the effectiveness of friendship groups, fostering connections between relevant committees, and facilitating reciprocal visits.
In additionally, the Japanese delegation received an invitation to partake in Turkmenistan’s commemorative events honoring the 300th anniversary of the birth of the esteemed poet, Magtymguly Fragi.
