The decision comes following discussions with the Federal Motor Vehicle Administration of Germany, which revealed that over 37,000 vehicles in Germany alone are subject to recall.
Affected models include various popular lines such as AMG GT, C-Class, CLE, E-Class, EQE, EQS, GLC, S-Class, and SL, all manufactured in 2023.
According to reports from the German news agency DPA, Mercedes-Benz will take precautionary measures by replacing specific components in the at-risk vehicles at no cost to the owners. The replacement process is estimated to take between 2 to 5.5 hours, depending on the vehicle’s specifications.
