Kazakhstan and South Korea Expand Air Connectivity with Increased Flights and New Routes

A bilateral meeting convened between Talgat Lastaev, Vice Minister of Transport of the Republic of Kazakhstan, and Yoon Sang Lee, Deputy Minister of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport of the Republic of Korea, heralding a significant milestone in air transportation cooperation between the two nations.

Discussions during the meeting resulted in mutual agreement to resume flights connecting Astana and Seoul, enhance flight frequencies along the Almaty-Seoul route, and inaugurate new air routes linking Shymkent to Seoul and connecting Busan with various cities in Kazakhstan.

Furthermore, Talgat Lastaev engaged in discussions with the management of low-cost carrier T’Way and cargo airline Sirius Airlines. During these meetings, Korean aviation representatives expressed their keen interest in operating flights to Kazakhstan, signifying a promising outlook for future air travel connectivity between the two countries.
