Announced by the National Olympic Committee of Uzbekistan, the prestigious tournament is scheduled to take place from August 23 to 25 in the historic city of Samarkand. Athletes from around the globe will converge in Uzbekistan to compete for top honors in the only rowing channel in Central Asia.
“For the past 3 years, Uzbekistan has been privileged to host world championships in various popular sports. This year is no exception, as our nation proudly hosts the world championship in kayaking and canoeing among adults,” the department highlighted.
This latest announcement comes on the heels of Uzbekistan’s earlier confirmation as the host of the World Amateur Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) Championship, further solidifying its growing reputation as a hub for international sporting events.
