President Tokayev hailed the flourishing ties between the two nations across various fronts and reiterated Kazakhstan’s commitment to bolstering relations with its brotherly neighbor, Uzbekistan.
Highlighting President Shavkat Mirziyoyev’s role in advancing bilateral relations, President Tokayev affirmed Kazakhstan’s support for Uzbekistan’s initiatives aimed at fostering regional prosperity. The leaders deliberated on enhancing trade and economic collaboration, underscoring the need to explore new avenues for growth and augmenting bilateral trade volume.
President Tokayev underscored the importance of fortifying cooperation in transit and transportation, citing the construction of the Darbaza-Maktaraal railway line as a pivotal step toward boosting cargo transportation between the two countries. Moreover, he emphasized the mutually beneficial aspects of Uzbekistan’s involvement in the development of the Trans-Caspian international transport route.
Expressing gratitude for the warm reception, Minister Saidov conveyed President Mirziyoyev’s regards and highlighted the shared commitment of the heads of state to elevate Kazakhstan-Uzbekistan relations. He outlined plans for collaborative efforts aimed at ensuring the effective implementation of previously agreed-upon initiatives.
The discussion also encompassed cooperation in the water sector and efforts toward maintaining regional security in Central Asia. Additionally, both parties reviewed the upcoming bilateral and multilateral engagements on their agenda.
