Emomali Rahmon Urges Judges and Civil Servants to Master Foreign Languages
President of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, has issued a decree calling for judges and civil servants to enhance their language skills, particularly in foreign languages.
This directive follows a recent decree on personnel changes within the judiciary, as reported by the press service of the head of state.
During a meeting held on February 12 with newly appointed personnel, President Rahmon emphasized the importance of improving professionalism, understanding national and international laws, and achieving proficiency in multiple languages.
The president stressed that it is essential for every civil servant to have a high level of proficiency in the state language and to be proficient in at least two foreign languages.
To facilitate this, it has been instructed to provide members of the judiciary and all civil servants with a one-year period for intensive language study. Failure to meet these language proficiency requirements will result in appropriate measures being taken against them.
