Kazakhstani athlete Alina Chistyakova won the gold medal at the Asian Championships which is held in Kuwait.
Chistyakova took the first place in the U-18 Asian Championship heptathlon discipline with 4737 points and became the owner of the gold medal. Thus, in the 2022 Asian Championship, the Kazakh national team increased the number of gold medals to 3 in total.
On the last day of the competitions, Kazakhstan’s Rinat Kulygin narrowly missed the gold medal in the 2000 m hurdles and crossed the finish line in second place and became the owner of the silver medal in the Asian championship.
