VI Digital Forum “Digital Almaty 2024” Kicks Off with Focus on Industry X
The VI Digital Forum "Digital Almaty 2024: Industry X - Digital evolution of the future" has commenced its proceedings in Almaty, running from February 1 to 3.
The event aims to delve into the realms of digital transformation in industry and explore innovative solutions across various domains, including GovTech, Industry 4.0, ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance), and Smart City, among others.
During the grand opening, Bagdat Musin, the Minister of Digital Development, Innovation, and Aerospace Industry, delivered welcoming remarks, highlighting the significance of “Digital Almaty” as a unique platform where business representatives, international experts, and the IT community converge. Musin emphasized the forum’s role in generating tangible solutions, citing the creation of the Silkroad Innovation Hub in Silicon Valley in 2023 as a notable outcome. The hub has since become a focal point for startup projects, fostering collaboration and the application of digital solutions.
The Sixth Forum will serve as a nexus for government officials from SCO (Shanghai Cooperation Organisation) and EAEU (Eurasian Economic Union) countries, bringing together leading experts and entrepreneurs to exchange experiences and ideas, ushering in a new era for the digital industry.
The comprehensive business program of the VI Digital Almaty includes panel discussions featuring over 200 speakers from international experts, industry leaders, and IT innovators, sharing successful case studies and applications of new technologies in the real sector of the economy. The three-day event is anticipated to draw over 30,000 participants.
An exhibition featuring Kazakhstan’s largest subsoil users, technology parks, and tech companies is also planned, providing a platform to showcase experiences and share information about projects within the IT ecosystem.
With 40 panel sessions on the agenda, the forum aims to foster collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and innovation within the digital landscape. The participation of a diverse range of speakers from the international and Kazakh IT community adds depth and expertise to the discussions, contributing to the overall success of the VI Digital Forum “Digital Almaty 2024.”
