Iranian President Raisi to Embark on Official Visit to Türkiye

President of Iran, Ibrahim Raisi, is scheduled to undertake an official visit to Türkiye on January 4, marking a significant stride in the ongoing high-level dialogue between the two nations, TuraNews.kz reports.

Diplomatic sources underscore the importance of Raisi’s visit as a crucial step in addressing pertinent issues between Iran and Türkiye. The visit provides a favorable opportunity to engage in discussions on actual matters.

Apart from discussions on bilateral relations, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan will confer with their Iranian counterparts on matters related to Gaza and regional concerns. The agenda encompasses regional topics such as Iraq, Syria, the South Caucasus, and Afghanistan.

The shared 560-kilometer border between Türkiye and Iran underscores the joint efforts against terrorist organizations, including the PKK and its affiliates like PJAK. These issues remain pivotal in the ongoing dialogue.

The visit is expected to yield approximately 10 agreements spanning various domains, including culture, science, media, internal affairs, transport, trade, and the economy.

Simultaneously, the heads of the two states plan to meet with Turkish investors and businessmen actively involved in Iran, fostering additional avenues for cooperation and collaboration between the two nations.
