Iranian President to visit Türkiye next week

Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi is slated to embark on a visit to Türkiye in the first week of January, as communicated by the Iranian Foreign Ministry. The visit is in response to an invitation extended by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and is anticipated to include a high-level Cooperation Council meeting between the two nations.

Deputy Foreign Minister Ali Bagheri officially announced President Raisi’s upcoming visit, highlighting its strategic significance in fostering diplomatic ties. The scheduled meeting aims to further strengthen bilateral cooperation and dialogue between Iran and Türkiye .

During the visit, both heads of state are expected to preside over a regular session of the High-Level Cooperation Council, a platform designed to address key issues and enhance collaboration in various sectors. This diplomatic engagement marks a continuation of efforts to deepen relations between the two countries.

The forthcoming meeting holds particular significance as it follows a similar event in 2022, when President Erdogan conducted an official visit to Tehran. The continuity of such high-level interactions underscores the commitment of both nations to sustaining a constructive and cooperative relationship.
