Uzbekistan has recently announced a strategic decision to increase the number of buses servicing routes to Kazakhstan, TuraNews.kz reports.
During a meeting addressing issues related to transportation and passenger services, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev issued a series of directives to the relevant authorities. Notably, he underscored the importance of doubling the existing number of bus routes connecting Uzbekistan with Kazakhstan, as well as those to Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan.
Mirziyoyev further highlighted the imperative to enhance air and rail transportation volumes by 20 percent in the coming year. This ambitious goal indicates Uzbekistan’s intention to introduce three new international routes and acquire a minimum of seven new aircraft. These strategic measures aim to fortify transportation links between nations and facilitate more streamlined international transit within the region.
