Turkish President Erdogan invites Elon Musk to open Tesla plant in Türkiye
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan met with SpaceX and Tesla founder Elon Musk in New York, Turanews.kz reports.
During the meeting, Erdogan invited Musk to open a Tesla plant in Türkiye. He also said that Türkiye is one of the most important manufacturing countries in the field of high technology and cited the successes achieved in the field of UAVs as an example.
Musk said that he is aware of the world’s interest in the Bayraktar UAV and that he believes the wars of the future will be fought between modern UAVs.
Erdogan also invited Musk to the Teknofest festival in Izmir.
The meeting between Erdogan and Musk is seen as a sign of Türkiye’s growing interest in the technology sector. Türkiye is home to a number of successful tech companies, including Baykar, which produces the Bayraktar UAV.
