TIKA provides chicken production facility to rehabilitation center in Tajikistan
Dushanbe, Tajikistan – The Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) has provided a chicken production facility to the State Social Security Agency of the Ministry of Health and Social Security of the Republic of Tajikistan, Turanews.kz reports.
The facility, which has a capacity of 3,000 chickens, was established at the Romit Rehabilitation Center in Dushanbe. It includes all necessary equipment and materials, as well as a 2-ton cold storage unit and 15 tons of feed.
The project aims to provide quality and sustainable food for the elderly and disabled people who benefit from the rehabilitation centers. It also aims to provide healthy and safe chicken meat suitable for the diet of the elderly and disabled.
The State Social Security Agency is a public institution that provides services in all areas, including housing, to the elderly, disabled, orphans, and people in need. It operates 11 centers in different regions of the country, through which it provides services to more than 2,000 elderly and disabled people.
The opening ceremony of the chicken production facility was attended by Tajikistan Health and Social Security Minister Camoliddin Abdullozoda, Tajikistan Social Security Agency Director Hakimcon Holzoda, TIKA Coordinator İbrahim Erbir, and representatives from related institutions.
Minister Abdullozoda said that the project is an exemplary project with a very important social contribution. He thanked TIKA for its support and stressed the importance of ensuring that the rehabilitation centers have the opportunity to provide healthy and sustainable food.
TIKA Coordinator Erbir said that the project is part of TIKA’s ongoing efforts to support the elderly and disabled people in Tajikistan. He said that TIKA will continue to work with the government of Tajikistan to improve the lives of the most vulnerable members of society.
