4.3-magnitude earthquake strikes off Turkish Coast

An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.3 struck off the coast of the Turkish province of Mugla on Tuesday, the Turkish Emergency Management Agency (AFAD) reported.

The epicenter of the earthquake was located 225 kilometers from the Datca region, in the Mediterranean Sea. The source of tremors lay at a depth of 6.94 kilometers.

There were no immediate reports of injuries or damage. However, the earthquake was felt in several Turkish cities, including Mugla, Izmir, and Antalya.

AFAD said that the earthquake was not considered a threat to public safety. However, it urged residents to stay vigilant and to follow the instructions of local authorities.
