on Monday, at a briefing the official representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Aibek Smadiyarov announced that the foreign ministers of the Central Asian states and China will hold a meeting in Xi’an city on April 26-27″, Turanews.kz reports.
“On April 26-27, the Kazakh delegation headed by Deputy Prime Minister – Foreign Minister Murat Nurtleu will take part in the fourth meeting of foreign ministers of the Central Asia-China dialogue format, which will be held in Xi’an,” he said.
According to him, one of the main issues of the meeting will be preparations for the forthcoming first summit of Central Asia – China which is scheduled for May in Xi’an.
“In addition, the meeting participants will discuss the prospects for six-sided cooperation in various fields, strengthening interconnectedness in the field of transport and logistics infrastructure, increasing the export of agricultural products from Central Asian countries to China, developing e-commerce, as well as creating new mechanisms for interaction between the authorized bodies of the participating countries of this format,” Smadiyarov added.
