A meeting held between the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Kyrgyzstan and representatives of local dairy producers , Turanews.kz reports citign the Press Service of the Organization.
At the meeting, the issue of removing barriers when creating a “Green Corridor” to Uzbekistan was discussed.
Kyrgyz producers are looking for start exporting their products to Uzbekistan where a high demand is for dairy products as the population frow fastly in the neighboor country.
“However there is an issue in the implementation of exports – the dairy products have risks as they classfield as perishable product. The export process of those kind of product require an immediate delivery without downtime when passing through border and customs control.
At the same time, Uzbek colleagues must open a veterinary laboratory, which will confirm the safety certificate. And re-analysis of products also generates a delay in time. There is exactly the same problem with Kazakhstan, and in order to export to them, it is also necessary to renew the green corridor” Kyrgyz dairy producers said.
Temir Sariev the head of the Organization said that a delegation of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry would visit Uzbekistan in the near future. The issue of creating a green corridor will be the main one in the negotiations. The head of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry also assured that the organization would contribute as much as possible to resolving the issue of the rapid passage of goods from Kyrgyzstan across the border.
