Uzbekistan plans to attract $11 billion of foreign investments to the economy in 2023
The inflow of foreign investments into the country last year amounted to $8 billion.
Uzbekistan plans to attract $11 billion of foreign investment into the economy this year, Turanews.kz reports citing the Press Service of the administration of the President of Uzbekistan.
On March 27, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev the head of state held a meeting on investment, exports and international cooperation.
Since the beginning of the year, 764 million dollars of foreign investment has been disbursed, 1.3 thousand large and medium projects have been launched in the country, as well as Uzbekistan’s exports amounted to 3 billion dollars.
However notig the insufficiency of those results Mirziyoyev, he pointed out the need to make twice as much effort, especially against the backdrop of the difficult situation in the world.
Mirziyoyev also stressed the need to monitor the implementation of projects on a daily basis in the context of regions and industries, and promptly resolve emerging problems.
It was noted that as a result of the implementation of 304 large and 3,000 regional projects this year, it is possible to produce products worth 10 trillion soums and export for 200 million dollars.
Last year, an influx of foreign capital in the amount of $8 billion was carried out in Uzbekistan.
