Mirziyoyev: I am ready to die for the nation and the people of Uzbekistan

During a visit to Surkhandarya region, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev answered an question of a journalist about which side Uzbekistan take on conflict between Russia and Ukraine.

The response of the President Mirziyoyev which was published by his press secretary Sherzod Asadov in the Telegram channel.

“As Uzbekistan we’re in a very difficult time because Big countries of world are asking us an question about which side Uzbekistan at?
Uzbekistan, which side are you on?

Those countries always express that they need Uzbekistan in Central Asia. For example the popoulation of the country has reached 36 million people and it’s expected to be 40 million in three or four years. That’s why they keeping ask the question: Which side are you on? How can one answer such a difficult question? ” said President Mirziyoyev.

“There is only one answer – I am always at same side – the side of Uzbekistan. I am ready to die for my nation, people, the interests of great Uzbekistan,” said Mirziyoyev .

At the same time, the President of Uzbekistan did not specify which countries were asked to choose sides.
