A world leader company seeks to participate in drinking water purification projects in Kazakhstan

Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Israel Satybaldy Burshakov visited the Israeli company IDE Technologies, which is one of the world leaders in the field of water treatment solutions, Turanews.kz reports citing the Press service of MFA Kazakhstan

At the meeting, the Vice-President of IDE Technologies Michael Tremer made a presentation the Kazakhstani diplomat on the company’s capabilities for designing, building and operating water desalination plants and industrial water treatment facilities.

Ambassador Burshakov, pointing out the relevance of providing residents with high-quality drinking water, he noted the significant potential for cooperation in this area. In this vein, he emphasized that the President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, attaches key importance to projects for the modernization of desalination plants in the Mangistau region with the introduction of modern technologies.

As a result of the negotiations, a visit to Israel of the delegation of the Mangistau Nuclear Power Plant (MAEC) LLP was organized. At a meeting with the management of IDE Technologies, the parties expressed their interest in developing cooperation in the field of seawater desalination technologies, and also exchanged experience in the operation of desalination plants. The Kazakh delegation got acquainted with the production of the desalination complex “IDE Technologies” in the city of Hadera, operating on reverse osmosis technology.

Deputy General Director of MAEK LLP A. Uikekbaev noted the positive experience of operating previously acquired desalination plants of the Israeli company. For its part, the Israeli company expressed its intention to organize the supply of desalination equipment with a capacity of 24 thousand m3 / day of drinking water for the needs of the population under the project of the Akimat of the Mangistau region.
