Kazakhstani tennis player which is owner of the 50th rank, Alexander Bublik made it to the quarterfinals of the ATP-250 tournament in Marseille (France), beating the Frenchman Gregoire Barrera (58th in tha ranking), Turanews.kz reports citing Kazakhstan Tennis Federation
Bublik will face the winner of the match between Bulgarian Grigor Dimitrov, the No 4 seed, and Dutch qualifier Gijs Brouwer next.
Ahead of his victory, the Kazakhstani edged out Serb Filip Krajinovic (5-7, 6-3, 6-4).
Barrere, ranked No 58, beat Swiss Marc-Andrea Huesler, the No 8 seed (6-3, 6-2) in the previous round of the Open de Provence.
