Kazakhstan sends a humanitarian aid of 5,000 tons of fuel oil to Tajikistan

Since 2006 totally $44 million of humanitarian aid is supplied from Kazakhstan to Tajikistan.

On February 21, 2023, a ceremony took place in the capital city of Tajikistan, Dushanbe city for the official transfer of humanitarian aid to the Tajikstan, Turanews.kz reports.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Kazakhstan to the Republic of Tajikistan Valikhan Turekhanov solemnly handed over a certificate for 5 thousand tons of fuel oil to the Director of the Agency for State Material Reserves under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan Nurmahmad Ahmadzoda.

In his speech, the Ambassador of Kazakhstan addressed the humanitarian aid was proceeded according to order of President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Tokayev and he noted that the provided aid with amount of 860,805,000 tenge (about 1.8 million USD) is to ensure the stable functioning of important energy facilities of the Tajikistan.
