Kazakhstan creates a speech recognition system for Turkic languages
With the help of new speech technology, people who talk in different Turkic dialects, now they would communicate with each other much easier.
Kazakhtani developers have created a speech recognition technology for Turkic languages. This multilingual model can become the foundation for creating mobile applications. The main goal is to promote the image, including the Kazakh language, Turanews.kz reports citing Khabar 24.
The technology is able to listen and recognize Azerbaijani, Bashkir, Chuvash, Kazakh, Kyrgyz, Sakha, Tatar, Turkish, Uyghur, and Uzbek, along with English and Russian, at the same time the voice recognition system converts the human speech into text too.
According to the creators of the project, the new technology may become the very first general and reliable model for speech recognition of Turkic languages. Besides, it is a open sourced tehcnology which allows any programmer use the codes and then develop their own project.
